What information does 1in11 collect?
Normal website usage
In general, you can browse the 1in11 site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. The only information collected during general browsing is non-personal information such as IP address, geographical location, device and browser type etc. which may be collected by Google Analytics which is used to review our website traffic.
Collection of personally identifiable information
If you choose to make a donation you may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, postal address, e-mail address and your credit / debit card details. This information is collected only with your knowledge and permission, and will be kept exclusively in UNICEF databases.
If you are making a donation, supplying your personal information will set a cookie. By setting this cookie, UNICEF will remember your details if you choose to make another donation, so you don’t have to re-enter this information.
Special note about information from children
Children seeking to make a donation to 1in11 or participate in the #1in11 Keep Ups Challenge should first seek consent from their parents, guardians or the adults caring for them, before participating. They should not provide personal information such as their address or contact details.
What does 1in11 do with the information it collects?
